Professional Development and Teaching & Learning teamed up to feature technology innovations across the Conestoga community through an exciting two days of remote plenaries and workshops.

Tech@Conestoga Days May 26 & 27th. With panelists and workshops for faculty, support staff and administrators, the Tech@Conestoga Days aim to equip you with essential tech skills for working and teaching in today's unique environments.

Tech@Conestoga Days follows last year’s day-long celebration of teaching with technology. This year, however, all sessions went fully live and online!

Event Recap

To kick off Day 1, a plenary panel of faculty discussed a range of different innovations in technology and teaching at Conestoga. The faculty presenters provided answers to additional questions that emerged during the panel discussion. See the post, Faculty Answer Questions from Tech@Conestoga Panel.

On Day 2, a second plenary panel of leaders and administrators discussed leading tech integration in their practice to be responsive to the needs of teams, programs, and overall college goals.

Over the two days faculty and staff from across Conestoga led 90-minute sessions for more than 550 participants on a range of topics, including

  • virtual showcase of student learning
  • dental hygiene for remote working
  • creating engaging graphics
  • making materials accessible
  • sharing knowledge and ideas with video.

Elan Paulson

Elan Paulson, PhD, has been an educator in Ontario's higher education system since 2004. Before joining Conestoga as a Teaching and Learning Consultant, Elan was on the executive team at eCampusOntario. She previously served as Program Director and as an instructor in professional education programs at Western University's Faculty of Education. With a Master's in Educational Technology, Elan specializes in technology-enabled and collaborative learning to support diverse learners. She has also conducted research on faculty participation in communities of practice for professional learning and self-care.
