Your Teaching Feedback
Welcome to the Faculty Learning Hub page dedicated to Your Course Feedback. See below for two initiatives on how the College helps to provide you with information and feedback for your teaching.
Initiative 1: Student Course Feedback – What Students Say
The Student Course Feedback (SCF) survey replaces the former SAT and Early Course Check-In (ECC). It includes revised items and formats for both synchronous and asynchronous courses, helping instructors gather meaningful student input. This feedback opportunity is important for improving learners’ overall learning experiences.

Learn More About the SCF
Please see this Hub post for detailed information, an FAQ, and more media resources and tips for faculty to encourage student engagement with the survey: About the Student Course Feedback and the Early Course Check-in.
For an overview of the new SCF and what has changed, see the video below.
Initiative 2: Development Observations of Teaching – What Learners Experience
Explore the updated Developmental Observation of Teaching, now streamlined into a single process that combines synchronous and asynchronous formats. This opportunity provides early and supportive feedback, along with a reflective coaching session, for your teaching in real-time (in-person, synchronous) or fully online, asynchronous modes of delivery.

More Ways to Get Feedback on Your Teaching
In addition to college-provided opportunities, there are other ways to get information and feedback on your teaching.
- At the end of your class, provide a “muddiest point” one-minute writing activity
- At the end of a unit or midway through the course, provide your students with a Stop Start Continue feedback opportunity
- At the end of the course, use the self-guided Reflection Tool for Teacher Development
- Sign up for a 3-day Instructional Skills Workshop (ISW) or ISW 2.0
