In the post-secondary phase, these students encounter distinct challenges and opportunities that set them apart from first-generation immigrants and Canadian-born peers. This workshop offers an in-depth exploration of the transitional experiences of 1.5-generation students. Participants will learn about best practices to support these students’ journeys in college classrooms, ensuring their optimal success. This workshop will give you valuable insights and practical strategies to foster an inclusive and supportive learning environment for 1.5 generation students.
