We will consider different perspectives on classroom silences and what role race, ethnicity, and culture plays in how, and how much, students may participate verbally in class. Gain practical ways to use pauses, quiet time, and “silent participation” in your lesson to create inviting learning spaces for students and encourage equitable classroom participation.
