Many of us have the impulse, after sharing new content in class, to ask students “Was that clear? Any questions?” Rarely does this approach elicit responses. How do we know if students are learning what we’re teaching? We’ll explore effective ways of checking in with students (even the quiet ones!) to assess their learning.
