About Our Workshops
Teaching and Learning offers workshops on effective teaching to help faculty develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes which help ensure successful teaching. Look through our calendar for upcoming workshops.
How to Find a Workshop
- Upcoming workshops are shown below on a weekly calendar. Select a workshop and a new page will appear containing a description and a link to register.
- If you know the name or EDV code for a workshop you are looking for, use the search bar to enter keywords and any scheduled sections will appear below.
- To adjust the displayed dates, select the date range and choose a new date. Or, select the dropdown next to the search bar labelled “Week” in order to display several strategies for viewing workshops: week, list, month, or day.
- Filter workshops by category by selecting the Event Category option, then select the category of your choice. You may also narrow results to a specific time or day of the week.
How to Register for Workshops
Please follow the instructions below to register for workshops on the Student Portal. If you experience difficulty with registration, please e-mail us with your requested workshop title and section number and we’ll register you on your behalf.
- Log in to the Student Portal using your employee number and password.
- Select Browse Continuing Education Courses.
- In the search box, type in the EDV code of the workshop you wish to attend.
- Select Search for Courses below the search box.
- On the Course Details page, choose the option that best suits your schedule.
- Select Add to Cart.
- Select Checkout and Enroll.
- Finally, confirm your address and save.
Information for Non–Full-Time Faculty
Effective Spring 2025 (May 1), compensation for participation in and completion of new faculty mandatory training (the Faculty Excellence Program) will continue at the rate of $40.00 per hour.
Educator Development workshops (EDV) and courses (EDEV) will continue to be provided free of charge for those currently teaching at Conestoga, but faculty participation will not be compensated.
