This teaching basics workshop includes a) a brief introduction to aspects of marking submitted work such as short answer questions and written assignments using a pre-set rubric, b) a chance to match and assess steps to marking a complete class set of submissions c) an opportunity to practice marking a short answer using a rubric and and discuss with a peer, d) a debrief in which outstanding questions and suggestions for effective marking processes are shared.
