Marcia Chaudet
Professional Background
For the past 15 years, I’ve dedicated myself to the field of Education, a passion that has been with me since I was a young student. The classroom had always felt like a second home, especially when I was in the lab exploring the world of biology. I began working in teaching centres in post-secondary institutes ten years ago when I discovered a new passion for helping others with their teaching development. Witnessing individuals embrace innovative teaching approaches and supporting overcoming challenges they faced as educators has been incredibly fulfilling.
Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of contributing to the educational landscape at institutions like the University of Waterloo, Wilfrid Laurier, and, currently, Conestoga College. In various roles such as Instructional Designer, Educational Developer, and Manager of Instructional Design, I’ve cultivated a deep appreciation for flexible learning spaces, diverse delivery methods, equity in the classroom, and dismantling barriers to education. Now, as a Teaching and Learning Consultant with Teaching & Learning, I eagerly anticipate exploring new approaches to support teaching and learning at Conestoga College while fostering a sense of community around learning.
Personal
In addition to my professional journey, I am blessed to be part of a family of four (or five, if you include our beloved dog, Wally, who I frequently do). My family includes my husband, Matt, and our two children, Malachy and Audrey. We love spending time outdoors, whether it’s discovering a new hiking trail, taking in the water at a beach or lake, or exploring a provincial park. On a typical day, you will often find me strolling with our dog along the Nith River near our Plattsville home. As a sports enthusiast and active individual, I recently embraced a new challenge by taking up hockey this year!

Thank you for taking a moment to learn a bit more about me. Should you need any assistance with your teaching development, please don’t hesitate to reach out. I’m here to help!
